Our guided walk takes you upstream along the north side of the Thames. It goes from Riverside Studios (near Hammersmith underground station), under Hammersmith Bridge, to the Elder Press cafe. We tell you about the buildings you pass. And about some of the characters who are part of the history of Hammersmith Mall. The landscape pioneer Capability Brown, the engineer Joseph Bazalgette, the oarsman and lexicographer Dr Furnivall, the designer William Morris, the typographer Edward Johnston and the artist Eric Ravilious.
